Coronavirus (Covid-19) Information for Foster Carers

We are extremely grateful to all our foster carers and acknowledge the critical role you play in the lives of vulnerable children within Carmarthenshire County Council. The current events concerning the Coronavirus are undoubtedly unsettling and a challenging time for all. We want to reassure you that the Fostering Service is committed to supporting you during these unprecedented times.

As you will be aware, the Government announced on the 23rd March 2020, that unless you have been identified as a critical worker in the fight against Coronavirus, we ‘must all stay at home’ to prevent the spread of this virus. In line with this requirement the Fostering Team are no longer based in the Council buildings. However, we are doing our utmost to support you and supervising social workers are working remotely and will be in regular contact to provide ongoing support and guidance.
